I have found a lovely story of nursery school memories from 7 year old Valentina from Croatia:
 
I have nice memories of my nursery school. We had fun there playing games. We played on swing-sets and seesaws, we made castles in the sand, we baked cookies. We had a merry-go-round and we laughed a lot. There was no homework or grades in the nursery school. I liked to draw. My favorite thing were our school trips. We would go to collect chestnuts; we traveled to the seaside; we went on winter holidays. We held shows that we prepared ourselves, and our nursery teachers would help us. Whenever I was sad, my teachers would comfort me and cuddle with me. There were a lot of boys I liked in the nursery.On my first day in school I was happy when I saw that my nursery friends were also there. Valentina, 7 years and 7 months old
